On February 1, Harlingen-based Texas Regional Bank announced that it is continuing its commitment to Blanco County’s youth, contributing an additional $12,900 this year to support student agricultural projects at the Blanco County Stock Show. Since 2019, the bank has provided more than $173,000 to support local students, funding initiatives ranging from leadership camps to college scholarships.
A significant portion—more than $62,000—has directly supported agricultural youth programs, including booster clubs, stock shows and rodeos.
“Investing in local youth is a passion for us,” says Erin Needham, regional president. “One investment we are particularly proud of is partnering with the Blanco County High School ag students to help build our TRB BBQ trailer, which gave students a hands-on learning experience and now serves at community events year-round.” The TRB BBQ trailer is used at local parades, cook-outs, Texas State University tailgates and other community events.
Looking ahead, Texas Regional Bank will continue to support Blanco County’s youth through hands-on engagement and essential resources. “Whether it’s donating back-to-school backpacks, sponsoring ag projects or delivering pallets of water for the band, we want to ensure that local students have the tools they need to succeed,” says Lance Spruiell, regional president.
