Texas Bankers Association Honors First State Bank of Uvalde’s Stary with ‘Chairman of the Board’ Award

Chad D. Stary, First State Bank of Uvalde president and CEO, is the latest recipient of the Texas Bankers Association’s “Chairman of the Board” award. The association awards the honor to bankers who have gone above and beyond in their service to benefit the Texas Bankers Association, the banking industry and their communities.

During his tenure as president and CEO at First State Bank, positions he has held since 2018, Stary’s goal has been to promote core values, personnel training, bank performance, innovations, promoted financial literacy and enhanced customer experiences.

“This is truly a recognition and testament of the hard work, commitment and dedication of the entire staff and board of directors at First State Bank of Uvalde,” Stary says. “I am extremely grateful to be a part of this legacy institution. First State Bank of Uvalde is well known in Texas banking and provides unwavering support and commitment to the banking industry and to the communities we serve.”

Established in 1907, First State Bank of Uvalde operates eight branches in South and Central Texas.

Chad D. Stary, First State Bank of Uvalde president and CEO, is the latest recipient of the Texas Bankers Association’s “Chairman of the Board” award. The association awards the honor to bankers who have gone above and beyond in their service to benefit the Texas Bankers Association, the banking industry and their communities.
