Susser Bank Expands with First Full-Service Branch in Houston

March 29, 2023

Arlington-based Susser Bank has opened its first full-service location in Houston. The de novo office is located at Post Oak Central, a mixed-use development with three office towers surrounded by retail, restaurants and hotels. Susser Bank’s space encompasses more than 5,600 square feet.

“We chose Houston’s Uptown area, and specifically Post Oak Central, because of its extraordinary location,” says William Griffin, executive vice president and Houston market president. “We are a relationship-driven company, and to be located in the center of this 17-acre campus with great accessibility allows us to meet and serve our clients in a responsive manner.”

Griffin, who joined Susser Bank in 2021 with more than 30 years of financial expertise, leads an experienced team of bankers:

  • Mike Chryssikos, senior vice president and market executive;
  • Julie Guyton, senior vice president;
  • Jennifer Poindexter, senior vice president;
  • Stacey Efaw, senior vice president;
  • David Buchanan, vice president;
  • Valerie Newman, vice president;
  • Sara Arache, assistant vice president/branch manager; and
  • Vanessa Espinoza, senior universal banker.

“This is a team of talented bankers who are focused on understanding our client’s needs to provide outstanding results,” says Sam L. Susser, chairman and CEO. “We move with speed and purpose to deliver best-in-class service and we look forward to supporting the growth of our Houston clients for generations.”

Established in 1959, Susser Bank has operated under the ownership and direction of Susser Banc Holdings Corp. since 2018. It operates branches in Dallas, Arlington, Bedford, Fort Worth, Garland, Houston, San Antonio and Round Rock, as well as a loan production office in Austin.
