Regulatory Actions

Here are the latest regulatory agency transactions regarding Texas bank applications—including new charters, mergers and acquisitions, and the establishment and relocation of bank branches—as filed with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Texas Department of Banking (TDB), Federal Reserve Board of Dallas (FRBD) and the Federal Insurance Deposit Corp. (FDIC):

September 6–12, 2026

Charters

The TDB reports that Texas Patriot Bank, based in Frisco, has applied to establish a bank charter.

Branches

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by First Texas National Bank, based in Floydada, to establish a branch at 231 W. Main St. in Denison.

The OCC reports that Woodforest National Bank, based in The Woodlands, has applied to establish a branch at 20025 Eva St. in Montgomery.

The OCC reports that JPMorgan Chase Bank NA, based in Columbus, Ohio, has established a branch at 616 FM 1960 W, Ste. 100, in Houston.

The OCC reports that PNC Bank NA, based in Wilmington, Delaware, has established a branch at 319 W. Loop 1604 S in San Antonio.

The OCC reports that BankUnited NA, based in Miami Lakes, Florida, has applied to relocate a branch from 5610 Lemmon Ave., Ste. A2, in Dallas to 2611 Cedar Springs Rd. in Dallas.

The TDB reports that First Financial Bank, based in Abilene, has applied to establish a branch at 12101 Bee Cave Rd., Bldg. 3, in Bee Cave.

The TDB reports that American Bank of Commerce, based in Wolfforth, has applied to establish a branch at 1150 Bee Cave Rd., Austin.
