Regulatory Actions

Here are the latest regulatory agency transactions regarding Texas bank applications—including new charters, mergers and acquisitions, and the establishment and relocation of bank branches—as filed with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Texas Department of Banking (TDB), Federal Reserve Board of Dallas (FRBD) and the Federal Insurance Deposit Corp. (FDIC):

September 20–26, 2020

Mergers and Acquisitions

The OCC reports that Moody National Bank, based in Galveston, has purchased a branch of Spirit of Texas Bank, based in Conroe. The branch is located at 1010 Bay Area Blvd. in Houston.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by The Bank of San Antonio to acquire The Bank of Austin, based in Austin, and Texas Hill Country Bank, based in Bandera.

Home Offices

The TDB reports that AimBank, based in Littlefield, has applied to relocate its home office from 337 Phelps Ave. in Littlefield to 1810 Hall Ave. in Littlefield.

Branches

The OCC reports that Sunflower Bank National Association, based in Denver, Colorado, has established a bank at 8117 Preston Rd., Suites 240–250, in Dallas.

The TDB reports that Freedom Bank, based in Freer, has applied to establish a branch at 533 N. Alamo Rd. in Alamo.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Commercial State Bank, based in Palmer, to establish a branch at 199-263 S. I-45 Service Rd. in Hutchins.

The TDB reports that Comerica Bank, based in Dallas, has applied to establish the following branches: 29333 Northwestern Hwy. in Southfield, Michigan; and 323 S. Main St. in Royal Oak, Michigan.

The TDB reports that First State Bank, based in Shallowater, has applied to establish a branch at 11235 Harry Hines Blvd. in Dallas.

The TDB reports that AimBank, based in Littlefield, has applied to relocate a branch from 102 E. Waylon Jennings Blvd. in Littlefield to 1810 Hall Ave. in Littlefield.
