Regulatory Actions

Here are the latest regulatory agency transactions regarding Texas bank applications—including new charters, mergers and acquisitions, and the establishment and relocation of bank branches—as filed with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Texas Department of Banking (TDB), Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas (FRBD) and the Federal Insurance Deposit Corp. (FDIC).

July 18–24, 2021

Branches

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by Bank of America National Association, based in Charlotte, North Carolina, to establish a branch at 2726 E. Berry St. in Fort Worth. The bank has also applied to establish a branch at 3814 E. 42nd St. in Odessa.

The OCC reports that Lone Star Capital Bank National Association, based in San Antonio, has applied to relocate a branch from 755 E. Mulberry, Ste. 400, in San Antonio to 15142 San Pedro in San Antonio.

The TDB reports that Frost Bank, based in San Antonio, has established a branch at 1710 Briarcrest Dr., Ste. 115, in Bryan.

The TDB reports that State Bank of DeKalb, based in De Kalb, has applied to relocate a branch from 109 W. Main St. in Atlanta, Texas, to 204 E. Main St. in Atlanta.

Mergers and Acquisitions

The OCC reports that The First National Bank of Aspermont, based in Aspermont, has acquired a branch from Vista Bank, based in Dallas. The branch is located at 231 S. Central Ave. in Hamlin.

Branches

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by Texas Heritage National Bank, based in Daingerfield, to establish a branch at 4801 Spring Valley Rd., Ste. 110, in Farmers Branch.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Southside Bank, based in Tyler, to establish a branch at 5665 Dallas Pkwy., Ste. 100, in Frisco.

The TDB reports that American Momentum Bank, based in College Station, has applied to relocate a branch from 4830 W. Kennedy Blvd. in Tampa, Florida, to 4830 W. Kennedy Blvd., Ste. 200, in Tampa, Florida.

Mergers and Acquisitions

The TDB reports that Capital Bank of Texas, based in  Carrizo Springs, has applied to merge with BAT Investments Inc. in Austin.

Home Office Relocation

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Susser Bank to relocate its home office from 500 Harwood in Bedford to 100 Crescent Ct., Ste. 575, in Dallas.

Branches

The OCC reports that First National Bank Texas, based in Killeen, has applied to establish the following branches: 3855 Lamar Ave. in Paris; 571 Walton Blvd. in Las Cruces, New Mexico; 17309 IH 30 S in Benton; 400 Bryant Ave. in Bryant; and 2004 S. Pleasant St. in Springdale.

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by Inwood National Bank, based in Dallas, to relocate a branch from 1551 S. Buckner Blvd. in Dallas to 1605 S. Buckner Blvd. in Dallas.

The TDB reports that Comerica Bank, based in Dallas, has established a branch at 5647 W. Lovers Ln. in Dallas.

The TDB reports that Bank of the West, based in Grapevine, has established a branch at 710 1st St. in Marble Falls.

The TDB reports that it has approved applications by Happy State Bank, based in Happy, to establish the following branches: 2727 W. 7th St. in Fort Worth; and 559 IH 35 in Round Rock.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Jefferson Bank, based in San Antonio, to establish a branch at 8826 Bandera Rd. in San Antonio.

The TDB reports that Texas First Bank, based in Texas City, has applied to establish a branch at 6363 Phelan Blvd. in Beaumont.

The TDB reports that Peoples Bank, based in Lubbock, has applied to relocate a branch from 106 S.W. Ave. C in Seminole to 200 N. Main St. in Seminole.

The OCC reports that Sunflower Bank National Association, based in Denver, Colorado, has applied to acquire Pioneer Bank SSB, based in Austin.

The TDB reports that First United Bank, based in Dimmitt, has applied to acquire First Bank and Trust of Childress, based in Childress.

Corporate Title Change

The OCC reports that  TIB The Independent BankersBank National Association, based in Farmers Branch, has changed its corporate title to TIB National Association.

Branches

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by Lamar National Bank, based in Paris, to establish a branch at 6801 Gaylord Pkwy. in Frisco.

The OCC reports that Texas National Bank of Jacksonville, based in Jacksonville, has applied to establish a branch at 704 S. John Reddit Dr. in Lufkin.

The TDB reports that Southside Bank, based in Tyler, has applied to establish a branch at 5665 Dallas Pkwy., Ste. 100, in Frisco.

The TDB reports that Texas First Bank, based in Texas City, has applied to establish a branch at 6363 Phelan Blvd. in Beaumont.

The TDB reports that Comerica Bank, based in Dallas, has applied to establish the following branches: 15720 Brixham Hill Ave, Ste. 300, in Charlotte, North Carolina; 4509 Creedmoor Rd., Ste. 201, in Raleigh, North Carolina; and 500 W. 5th St., Ste. 800, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

The TDB reports that Ozona National Bank, based in Ozona, has converted to a Texas state-chartered bank under the name Ozona Bank.

The TDB reports that Susser Bank has applied to relocate its home office from 500 Harwood in Bedford to 100 Crescent Ct., Ste. 575, in Dallas.

The OCC reports that Commercial Bank of Texas National Association, based in Nacogdoches, has applied to establish a branch at 321 N. Central Expy., Ste. 100, in McKinney.

The OCC reports that Guaranty Bank & Trust National Association, based in Mt. Pleasant, has relocated a branch from 5944 Luther Lane, Ste. 100, in Dallas to 5910 N. Central Expy., Ste. 150, in Dallas.

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by Inwood National Bank, based in Dallas, to relocate a branch from 1551 S. Buckner in Dallas to 1605 S. Buckner Blvd. in Dallas.

The TDB reports that Roscoe State Bank, based in Roscoe, has applied to merge with Cornerstone Home Lending, based in Houston, under the name Cornerstone Capital Bank SSB.

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by First National Bank of Aspermont, based in Aspermont, to purchase a branch from Vista Bank, based in Dallas. The branch is located at 231 S. Central Ave. in Hamlin.

Conversions

The TDB reports that Texas Capital Bank, based in Dallas, has applied to convert to a national association under the name Texas Capital Bank NA.
