Ramon Retiring as Chief Financial Officer from Panhandle First Bank After 40 More Than Years of Service

Tindle RamonAfter more than 40 years of service in community banking, Tindle Ramon is retiring in 2026, concluding a career that helped shape modern banking across the Texas Panhandle. He currently serves as executive vice president/chief financial officer at Guymon, Oklahoma-based Panhandle First Bank, a bank launched in 2024 following the merger of First National Bank of Spearman and Guymon-based Bank of the Panhandle. Tindle joined the newly formed First National Bank of Spearman in 1985 as one of its first employees. Over the decades, he served in numerous leadership roles, culminating in his role as executive vice president and CFO.

Ramon has lead operations, balance-sheet management, technology and risk functions while supporting the bank’s expansion into Dumas and Perryton, Texas. He was a key leader in the 2024 merger that formed Panhandle First Bank and has been instrumental in shaping the bank’s operational culture, technology strategy and leadership development efforts. Ramon has overseen system consolidations, infrastructure integration, cybersecurity and the alignment of digital and operational platforms. He has also contributed to technology policy development and supported strategic and leadership initiatives.

Ramon earned a BS degree in biology from Oklahoma Panhandle State University. He is also a graduate of the SW Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University, as well as the Texas Tech School of Banking. He has been actively involved in community service leadership and volunteer roles with the Spearman Lions Club, United Methodist Men, the O’Loughlin Activity Center board, local municipal planning and zoning committees and Cornerstone Methodist Church. Ramon’s service has included community development projects, mentoring, senior center technology support and hospital chapel construction efforts. He was named a 2026 inductee into the Oklahoma Panhandle State University Alumni Ambassador Hall of Fame in recognition of his professional accomplishments and community leadership.

Established in 2024 with a charter dating back to 1976, Panhandle First Bank operates Texas branches in Spearman, Dumas and Perryton, in addition to its home office in Guymon, Oklahoma.
