Regulatory Actions

Here are the latest regulatory agency transactions regarding Texas bank applications—including new charters, mergers and acquisitions, and the establishment and relocation of bank branches—as filed with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Texas Department of Banking (TDB), Federal Reserve Board of Dallas (FRBD) and the Federal Insurance Deposit Corp. (FDIC):

May 11–17, 2025

Mergers and Acquisitions

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Rio Bank, based in McAllen, to acquire Lone Star Capital Bank NA, based in San Antonio.

Name Changes

The TDB reports that XD Bank, based in Plano, has applied to change its name to Monet Bank.

Branches

The TDB reports that Texas Regional Bank has applied to relocate a branch from 20475 Hwy. 46 W., Ste. 360, in Spring Branch, to 20419 Hwy. 46 W. in Spring Branch.

The OCC reports that Lone Star Capital Bank NA, based in San Antonio, has established a branch at 610 W. Main St. in Fredericksburg.

The OCC reports that it has approved applications by Amarillo National Bank, based in Amarillo, to establish the following branches: 5500 W. 9th St. in Amarillo and 410 S. Taylor in Amarillo.

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by JPMorgan Chase Bank, based in Columbus, Ohio, to establish a branch at the northeast corner of Boyd Ct. and Boyd Rd. (FM 730 N) in Azle.

The OCC reports that Texana Bank NA, based in Linden, has applied to establish a branch at 1680 Keller Pkwy. in Keller.

The OCC reports that Sunflower Bank NA, based in Dallas, has relocated a branch from 2200 Louisiana Blvd. NE, Ste. 08E, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to 6605 Uptown Blvd. NE in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
