Choudrant, Louisiana-based Origin Bank recently announced two news items about its presence in The Woodlands.
The bank has hired Gil Staley to serve as director of business development in The Woodlands. He brings more than 45 years of experience to his new role. He previously served as chief executive officer of The Woodlands Area Economic Development Partnership, for which he recruited new businesses and oversaw daily operations and the financial integrity of the organization. In his new role, he will support Origin Bank’s strategic growth in the community, retaining and expanding area business development and strengthening relationships with key partners.
“Gil is a well-respected member of the community who is deeply invested in its success,” says Jody Proler, regional chief operating officer.
Staley earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from Stephen F. Austin State University. A longtime resident of The Woodlands, he serves on numerous boards, including the Montgomery County Community Foundation and Project Beacon. He is a member of the Texas Association of Business and Commercial Real Estate Association of Montgomery County.
Origin Bank has also announced the opening of a loan and deposit production office at 9707 Lakeside Blvd, Ste. 475, in The Woodlands. The new location will house its growing commercial team, comprised of Joe Cox, Vishakha Deora and Alan Ramirez, along with Staley. The retail team, led by Karen Mixon, will continue to serve customers from The Woodlands Banking Center at 2501 Research Forest Dr., Ste. A—only steps away from the commercial team’s new offices.
Established in 1912, Origin Bank operates more than 55 locations in Dallas/Fort Worth, East Texas, Houston, North Louisiana and Mississippi, South Alabama and the Florida Panhandle.
