Jacksonville-based Austin Bank recently announced the promotion of Millette Stroud to Tyler market president. With 39 years of banking experience—including 30 years in lending and management—she joined Austin Bank in 2015 and works from the Whitehouse office. She will be moving to the Tyler Cumberland Park location later this fall. Prior to her promotion, Stroud served as senior vice president and commercial lender at Austin Bank.
Before joining Austin Bank, Stroud worked as a commercial lender for BancorpSouth and also held lending and management positions at the Tyler and Whitehouse offices of Regions Bank. A native of East Texas, she attended Tyler Junior College. She is a 2015 graduate of the American Bankers Association of National Commercial Lending School at Southern Methodist University, a 2017 graduate of American Bankers Association Advanced Commercial Lending School and a Leadership Tyler Class 26 graduate. She is currently enrolled in the Texas Bankers Association Management Development Program and will be graduating in November.
Active in the Tyler community, Stroud currently serves on the Tyler Chamber of Commerce medical committee and the board for Walnut Grove Water Supply Corp. She has previously served on the American Red Cross Smith County Chapter board; Junior Achievement of Greater Tyler board; as a Whitehouse Chamber of Commerce director; committee member, past chair and co-chair of the Texas Equestrian Gala benefiting Azleway Children’s Services; City Council of Whitehouse; and Whitehouse Yesteryear past president and treasurer.
