IBAT’s Patterson Elected President of Financial Women in Texas

October 15, 2025

The Independent Bankers Association of Texas have announced that Brandy Patterson, digital compliance officer at Compliance Select, has been elected 2025–26 president of Financial Women in Texas (FWIT). A longtime FWIT member, Patterson previously served as the association’s secretary and as vice president of its Gulf Coast chapter.

With more than 17 years of community banking experience, Patterson has held roles in fair lending, BSA, real estate appraisal review and frontline banking, most notably during her tenure at The First State Bank in Louise. She is a certified regulatory compliance manager (American Bankers Association) and a certified community bank compliance officer (Independent Community Bankers of America).

As FWIT president, Patterson will focus on advancing the organization’s mission to support women in finance through professional development, leadership opportunities and community engagement.

Compliance Select is a compliance support program launched by IBAT in 2022. The program has its own team of former bankers and compliance specialists who work to support community banks.
