IBAT Announces Return of Women in Community Banking Conference

June 13, 2024

The Independent Bankers Association of Texas’ IBAT Education Foundation has announced a new day-long conference coming this fall: Women in Community Banking, a forum for women at all levels of the community banking industry to come together to share, learn and grow from one another’s experiences. The event will be held on October 30, with an opening reception on October 29, at the Grapevine Convention Center in Grapevine. Following the footprint set by counsels Jacque Kruppa and Beth Whitaker, the IBAT Education Foundation is continuing the tradition of bringing women together to take a deep dive into areas of banking such as accounting, legal, compliance and employment while touching on the hard-hitting topics of leadership and regulatory through robust panel discussions.

Julie SchniersIn her keynote address, “Level-Up your Leadership: A Deep Dive into Communication, Connection and Confidence,” executive coach and consultant Julie Schniers will focus on effective communications—what messages you’re sending and how you’re sending them. Schniers has an impressive background in helping companies build a stronger team culture to increase their ability to make an impact. Her method inspires others to get their message across while making people the priority. She will reveal how to identify and overcome the common barriers and challenges that keep you from communicating and connecting at your best while developing an attitude of affirmation, braving conflict successfully and creating stronger connections.

The seminar schedule includes an opening reception and network happy hour at 5 p.m. on October 29 (with the rest of that evening open). The following day will feature the keynote address followed by sessions on accounting hot tips, legal updates, managing change and idea sharing, plus panel discussions on leadership and regulatory news.

Registration for the Women in Community Banking Conference is $150. Click here to register for the conference.

Accommodations for the Women in Community Banking Conference have been arranged with the Dallas/Fort Worth Airport Marriott, 8440 Freeport Pkwy. in Irving.
