Harlingen-based Texas Regional Bank has appointed Guillermo Gómez as international banking factoring officer. Based at the bank’s corporate headquarters in Harlingen, he will lead the launch of a new line of business in factoring within the bank’s international private banking division.
Gómez brings more than 38 years of financial sector experience, specializing in factoring, leasing and credit product development. Over his career, he has designed and launched factoring solutions for leading institutions, including Mexico’s first electronic factoring platform, and has held senior leadership roles overseeing credit portfolios, product development and client strategies at both national and international banks.
“Our expansion into factoring will strengthen our IPB platform and allow us to provide innovative financial tools for clients with cross-border needs,” notes Eduardo Caso, executive vice president of international private banking.
Established in 2010, Texas Regional Bank has 30 banking centers across the Rio Grande Valley, Texas Hill Country, Houston and Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex.
