On June 21, San Antonio-based Frost Bank opened its Cypress Crossing financial center, the last of 25 new branches opened since the company announced a regional expansion plan in 2018. Frost Bank operates 154 financial centers across Texas, including 53 in the Houston region. While the current expansion program may be complete, the bank is already working on identifying sites for more new locations in Houston and its other regions across Texas. In April, the company announced that it would draw on the lessons learned from the Houston expansion to begin opening the first of 25 new locations in the works for its Dallas region.
“When we announced the Houston expansion in 2018, we knew it was an ambitious plan,” says David LePori, Houston region president. “When you think of the challenges we’ve overcome since that time—the pandemic and the economic impacts of it, having employees working remotely, helping small businesses get emergency loans to keep workers employed—it says a lot about the dedication and skill of Frost bankers that we not only completed the expansion, but that our new financial centers are outperforming our expectations.”
The Cypress Crossing financial center features a full range of financial services for consumer and business customers. It’s also home to one of Frost Bank’s newer design features, a welcoming greeter station, where bankers can assist customers with making a deposit and withdrawal, answer account questions, open an account or apply for a loan. Though contemporary in design, the new facility also includes a number of unique design elements that reflect Frost Bank’s local heritage and evoke the Texas spirit. Historic state maps and black-and-white photos of Texas line the walls.
The bank will celebrate the new financial center with ribbon-cutting events at an upcoming date.
Established in 1868, Frost Bank serves the Austin, Corpus Christi, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, Permian Basin, Rio Grande Valley and San Antonio regions.
