Here are the latest regulatory agency transactions regarding Texas bank applications—including new charters, mergers and acquisitions, and the establishment and relocation of bank branches—as filed with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Texas Department of Banking (TDB), Federal Reserve Board of Dallas (FRBD) and the Federal Insurance Deposit Corp. (FDIC):

August 16–22, 2026

Mergers and Acquisitions

The TDB reports that Lone Star Bank, based in Houston, has applied to acquire Journey Financial Group Inc., based in Montgomery.

Branches

The OCC reports that Extraco Banks NA, based in Temple, has applied to establish a branch at 6801 Gaylord Pkwy., Ste. 410, in Frisco.

The OCC reports that PNC Bank NA, based in Wilmington, Delaware, has established a branch at 2606 Gus Thomasson Rd. in Dallas. The agency also reports that PNC Bank has applied to establish a branch at 1916 State Hwy. 46 S in New Braunfels.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by PointBank, based in Pilot Point, to establish a branch at 8989 Preston Rd. in Frisco.

The TDB reports that Citizens State Bank, based in Somerville, has applied to establish a branch at 25 N. Bell St. in Bellville.
