Arkansas-based Encore Bank Hires Jenkins and Johnson to Help Lead Expansion Into North Texas

October 14, 2021

In mid-September, Little Rock, Arkansas-based Encore Bank announced its expansion into Arlington and has named Rick Jenkins executive vice president/Arlington market president. In addition, the bank is expanding into Collin County and has named Jenny Johnson senior vice president/Collin County market manager.

Rick JenkinsJenkins is a 19-year banking veteran with expertise in commercial lending, business development and treasury management. Before joining Encore Bank, he served as market president for American National Bank of Texas in Arlington. He holds a BBA degree from the University of Texas–Arlington and is a graduate of the American Bankers Association’s Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University.

“With more than 19 years serving the Arlington/Fort Worth area, Rick is exactly the banker we were looking for to spearhead our Arlington expansion,” says Scott Jones, executive vice president/Tarrant County regional president. “He is well known for his knowledge and understanding of team building, strategic planning and relationship development. These qualities—in addition to his experience in both small and large institutions—give him a unique insight into building a successful brand.”

“The banking landscape has changed greatly over the past few years, and Encore has met the challenges head-on to become a true disrupter in the industry,” Jenkins says. “Encore has set the standard for concierge banking. I am pleased to be a part of this trailblazing organization.”

Jenny JohnsonJohnson has more than 20 years of financial services experience, including private, commercial and business banking, as well as mortgage and wealth management. Most recently, she served as senior vice president/small commercial manager at IberiaBank. Johnson holds a bachelor’s degree in management and human relations from MidAmerica Nazarene University.

“Jenny’s experience in the market, ability to build relationships and vast banking knowledge make her the ideal fit for Encore Bank and Collin County,” says Marc Massad, executive vice president/Dallas regional president.

Established in 1997, Encore Bank is a private, boutique bank with five banking offices in Arkansas in addition to its recent expansion into the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. It also operates de novo branches in Austin and San Antonio, as well as Springfield, Missouri.
