Regulatory Actions

Here are the latest regulatory agency transactions regarding Texas bank applications—including new charters, mergers and acquisitions, and the establishment and relocation of bank branches—as filed with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Texas Department of Banking (TDB), Federal Reserve Board of Dallas (FRBD) and the Federal Insurance Deposit Corp. (FDIC):

April 13–19, 2025

Mergers and Acquisitions

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by The Yoakum National Bank, based in Yoakum, to acquire Citizens State Bank, based in Ganado.

Branches

The OCC reports that it has approved applications by JPMorgan Chase Bank NA, based in Columbus, Ohio, to establish the following branches: at the northeast corner of Ronald W Reagan Blvd. and Ranch Rd. 2338 in Georgetown and at the northwest corner of Adler Dr. and N. Cockrell Hill Rd. in Dallas. The agency also reports that JPMorgan Chase Bank has applied to establish a branch at the northeast corner of Boyd Court and Boyd Rd. in Azle.

The OCC reports that VeraBank NA, based in Henderson, has applied to establish a branch at 14951 Avery Ranch Blvd. in Austin. The agency also reports that VeraBank has applied to relocate a branch from 902 Palm Valley Blvd. in Round Rock to 2300 S. IH-35 in Round Rock.

The OCC reports that First National Bank Texas, based in Killeen, has applied to establish a loan production office at 11 N. Halsted Circle, Ste. A, in Rogers, Arkansas.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Texas Bank, based in Henderson, to establish a branch at 8596 Old Jacksonville Hwy. in Tyler.

The TDB reports that TexasBank, based in Brownwood, has applied to establish a branch at 1415 S. FM 51 in Decatur.
