Galveston-based Moody Bank has hired James Sanders to serve as vice president and commercial banking officer at the company’s energy corridor banking center on N. Eldridge Pkwy. With more 15 years in commercial banking and lending, his experience includes positions at major national and regional financial institutions. Earlier this month, the bank also announced the hiring of Jason Sanders, who is also part of the bank’s energy corridor group.
Prior to joining Moody Bank, Sanders worked for Prosperity Bank in Houston for the past seven-plus years, serving as banking center president and commercial loan officer there since 2002. Earlier in his career, he was with Trustmark Bank for four-and-a-half years and BBVA Compass for almost three years.
Sanders earned a BS degree in commerce and business administration/finance from the University of Alabama.
