Terrell-based American National Bank of Texas announced that it will open a South Dallas loan production office (LPO), located at 820 Exposition Ave., this fall. The office will serve as the new home for the bank’s emerging markets team and play a critical role in the bank’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its presence in South Dallas.
The South Dallas location will offer various lending services, including business and commercial loans. The LPO will be American National Bank of Texas’ central hub for its community engagement team, and a dedicated South Dallas mortgage lender will help residents access affordable housing options across the bank’s North Texas footprint, including majority-minority neighborhoods in Southern Dallas County.
“ANBTX is laser-focused on building lasting relationships with the hard-working businesses, entrepreneurs and residents of South Dallas,” says Marcelo Mills, emerging markets president. “The new loan production office will amplify ANBTX’s work with our local partners and organizations as we work together to spark revitalization in this vital community.”
The South Dallas office is the latest example of the bank’s commitment to creating banking opportunities for the southern sector. Other important initiatives include:
- Investing more than $3.1 million through its Ignite Home Loan Program, available exclusively from ANBTX Mortgage. The bank has originated 205 Ignite Home Loans since the program launched in January 2023.
- Donating more than $545,000 to 20-plus community organizations to support long-term revitalization efforts. The bank specifically supported the Builders of Hope Community Development Corp.’s Homebuyers Resource Center in the Shops at RedBird.
- Expanding its popular homebuyer education series to include seminars at Cornerstone Baptist Church and South Side on Lamar. American National Bank of Texas joined Good Urban Development, a joint venture between Urban Specialists Inc. and Matthews Southwest, to educate prospective homebuyers at Mill City 50, a housing development in the Mill City neighborhood in East Dallas.
The bank’s new space will host a variety of free community education offerings, including the bank’s small-business and homebuyer seminars.
In celebration of the South Dallas loan production office, the bank will host a grand opening event in November.
Established in 1875, American National Bank of Texas operates 30 locations throughout North Texas, serving Collin, Dallas, Hunt, Johnson, Kaufman, Rockwall, Tarrant and Van Zandt counties.
