The Independent Bankers Association of Texas (IBAT), based in Austin, recently announced the hiring of Brandy Patterson to serve as digital compliance officer. She comes to IBAT’s Compliance Select program with more than 17 years of community banking experience in fair lending, BSA, real estate appraisal review and the frontline, most notably during her tenure at The First State Bank in Louise.

Patterson earned her BA degree in history from the University of Houston. She is a certified regulatory compliance manager (American Bankers Association) and certified community bank compliance officer (Independent Community Bankers of America). She is also a member of Financial Women in Texas and currently serves as the organization’s secretary.
