Alabama-based Regions Bank Names Slaughter as Private Wealth Leader Serving Key Texas Markets

Kafi SlaughterBirmingham, Alabama-based Regions Bank announced that Kafi Slaughter has joined the bank to serve as area wealth leader for Regions Private Wealth Management across Houston, Austin, San Antonio and other markets in the southern half of the Lone Star State. She will report to Connie Rogers, Texas regional executive for Regions Private Wealth Management.

A fifth-generation Texan, Slaughter brings three decades of experience in private banking, business banking and wealth management to Regions Bank. She most recently served as managing director, senior partner and private client advisor for Bank of America Private Bank. Prior to that, she served as senior vice president and senior wealth advisor for Wells Fargo Wealth Management. Earlier, Slaughter worked for US Trust Bank of America, Bank of Texas, Amegy Bank, Frost/Cullen National Bank, Fifth Third Bank and Northland Credit Corp.

Slaughter graduated with a BS degree in economics and statistical analysis from the University of Alaska–Anchorage. She completed the Women’s Leadership Program at Yale University’s School of Management Executive Education and is a member of the Investments & Wealth Institute. Additionally, she holds FINRA-Series 7, Series 63 and Series 65 designations. Her community involvement includes serving as an advocacy board member for the Baylor College of Medicine and the Dan L Duncan Comprehensive Cancer Center, for which she has helped raise a record-breaking amount for breast cancer research as chair of the annual Lights Out Cancer Gala. She is also the founder and chair of the Aggie Impact Endowment Fund (a scholarship initiative to support Texas A&M University), a member of the Star of Hope board of trustees and a member of the Houston Symphony board of trustees. Previous volunteer service includes the Alpha Kappa Alpha Literacy Foundation, First Tee Houston and the Memorial chapter of the National Charity League.

“Texas means growth. Texas means opportunity. And as more businesses and professionals expand and relocate here, Texas is where Regions Private Wealth Management sees tremendous potential to introduce the Regions brand to more clients,” Rogers says.

Established in 1928, Regions Bank operates approximately 1,250 banking offices in the South, Midwest and Texas.
