VeraBank Welcomes Turgel as Senior Vice President and Commercial Banker

Jon TurgelHenderson-based VeraBank has hired Jon Turgel as senior vice president/commercial banker. He brings more than 30 years of industry experience, with a strong background in relationship‑driven commercial banking and community engagement. In his new role, he will serve businesses across the Kyle-to-Bastrop region and surrounding communities.

“Jon brings a strong relationship‑driven mindset, a passion for community commitment and more than 30 years of financial industry experience that will be a tremendous asset to our team,” says Paul Gerling, senior executive vice president, chief banking officer and Central Texas regional chair. “His approach aligns perfectly with VeraBank’s values, and we’re confident he will make a meaningful impact for our clients and the communities he serves.”

Established in 1930, VeraBank serves 20 counties in East, Central and Southeast Texas with 41 branches.
