VeraBank Opens New Branch in Leander

May 13, 2022

Henderson-based VeraBank continues to expand its footprint in Central Texas with the opening of a new branch in Leander on May 9. The new full-service branch is VeraBank’s first in Leander and sixth in the greater Austin area.

“We are thrilled to open a Leander branch to better serve our Williamson County customers,” says Jonathan Voight, regional manager. “We are especially focused on the banking needs of small businesses and connecting them with the tools and technology to support their growth. Most of all, we are excited to forge new relationships and deliver that personal, genuine banking experience.”

VeraBank first entered the Central Texas market in January 2018 with the acquisition of four branches in Williamson County, and in 2020, the bank opened its first location in Austin. The Austin office has quickly grown from a loan production office with three employees to a full-service branch with a team of 18 bankers. In January 2021, VeraBank moved into its newly renovated office on W. Sixth St. in the former Austin Independent School District building.

“VeraBank has grown significantly in the past five years, particularly in Central Texas,” notes Brad Tidwell, president and CEO. “There is tremendous opportunity in the Austin area, and it’s a great fit for VeraBank’s culture—a modern-day financial hub centered around authentic, relationship-based banking.”

Established in 1930, VeraBank serves 16 counties in East, Central and Southeast Texas with a network of 38 branches, $3.8 billion in assets, and trust assets under management of approximately $950 million.
