Henderson-based VeraBank continues to grow in Southeast Texas with the opening of a new branch in Conroe. The new full-service location will be VeraBank’s first in Montgomery County and third in Southeast Texas. The Conroe branch, located at 200 River Pointe Dr., Ste. 100, officially opened on August 8 and will host a grand opening later this fall.
“We are excited to open a Conroe branch to serve our Montgomery County customers,” says Joel Jackson, senior vice president and regional president. “We are especially looking forward to connecting with area small businesses and offering them the support and resources they need in order to grow and succeed.”
In April, VeraBank welcomed Andrew Cantu, senior vice president of commercial lending, and Hope Robinson, vice president of branch operations, as the first of its new team of bankers in Conroe. Longtime Houston banker Paul McGuire, senior vice president of commercial lending, joined the team shortly thereafter, as did Crystal Smith, banking officer and branch manager.
“Our bankers have strong roots in Conroe, as well as Montgomery and Harris counties, and are absolutely the right team to open the Conroe branch,” says Brad Tidwell, president and CEO. “They have done a phenomenal job, serving our customers and engaging the community from day one. This marks an exciting next step toward the bank’s continued growth in the Southeast Texas market and across Texas.”
Established in 1930, VeraBank serves 16 counties in East, Central and Southeast Texas with a network of 40 branches, $3.9 billion in assets and trust assets under management of approximately $950 million.
