Henderson-based VeraBank continues to expand its footprint in Central Texas with the opening of a new branch in Bastrop, which opened for business on May 1. This full-service branch will be VeraBank’s first in Bastrop and ninth in the greater Austin area.
“Our bank is large enough to serve any of your financial needs, but small enough to care for and keep our customers as the priority,” notes Jonathan Voight, regional manager. “Most of all, we are excited to forge new relationships and deliver our personal, genuine banking experience to the people of Bastrop and surrounding communities.”
VeraBank first entered the Central Texas market in 2018 with the acquisition of four branches in Williamson County, and in 2020, opened its first location in Austin.
“VeraBank has grown significantly in the past five years, particularly by expanding our footprint in Central Texas,” says Brad Tidwell, president and CEO. “There is tremendous opportunity in Bastrop County, and it’s a great fit for VeraBank’s culture—a modern-day financial hub centered around authentic, relationship-based banking.”
Established in 1930, VeraBank serves 16 counties in East, Central and Southeast Texas with 40 branches, $3.9 billion in assets and trust assets under management of approximately $950 million.
