VeraBank Hires Powell as Senior Vice President and Senior Wealth Advisor in Austin

June 15, 2023

Ronnie PowellHenderson-based VeraBank has tapped Ronnie Powell, CFP, to serve as senior vice president/senior wealth advisor on the bank’s wealth management team in downtown Austin. He has been in wealth management for 28 years and most recently served as Austin region president for Northern Trust and as senior wealth advisor for Wells Fargo Private Bank. In his new role, Powell will focus on strategic investment planning, retirement income planning, liability management and comprehensive wealth management solutions.

“Ronnie has significant experience working in financial institutions and wealth management, and his extensive knowledge in investment management will serve our clients well,” says Brad Tidwell, president and CEO.

“Ronnie excels at building meaningful, trusted client relationships, founded on his deep understanding of each client’s unique needs and beliefs,” says Toby Fails, senior vice president/wealth management director. “He’s passionate about his work and is creative in devising a vision and strategy for each client he serves while connecting them to resources that aid in their financial goals.”

Powell holds a BBA degree from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University. He previously served on the board of the Umlauf Sculpture Garden and Museum and the Eanes Education Foundation.

Established in 1930, VeraBank serves 19 counties in East, Central and Southeast Texas with 40 branches.
