Vantage Bank Plans Expansion Into the Houston Market

November 17, 2022

San Antonio-based Vantage Bank has announced plans to enter the Houston market before the end of 2022, according to Community Impact. The move will start with a loan production office in the Galleria area at 5151 San Felipe St., says Cody Cannon, market president in Houston. Officials are in the process of finalizing the lease, Cannon told Community Impact.

“We saw a big opportunity [in] that Houston is one of the larger metro areas in Texas,” George Cardenas, regional president, told Community Impact. “We always had an interest in Houston to diversify our portfolio.”

Cannon says teams are also targeting The Woodlands for a new location that could open within the next 12 to 24 months. Based on capacity and demand, another location could open in South Houston or Sugar Land three years or so down the line.

Established in 1923, Vantage Bank operates branches in 22 banking offices across Texas.
