On December 11, the UMB Charitable Foundation—a division of Kansas City, Missouri-based UMB Financial Corp. and its subsidiary bank, UMB Bank—announced a total donation of $2 million to nonprofit organizations within the corporation’s footprint, including Kansas City (seven), Denver (three), St. Louis (three), Omaha (one), Phoenix (three) and Dallas (three). This is the fourth consecutive year the company has designated year-end donations totaling this amount and brings UMB Financial Corp.’s and the foundation’s 2024 total giving to more than $5.8 million.
“We are honored to support these fantastic organizations and the critical services they provide to our communities,” says Mariner Kemper, chair of the foundation and chair and CEO of UMB Financial Corp. “One of the primary tenets of our 111-year-old organization is to support and give back to the communities in which we live and work.”
Recipient organizations were selected based on specific needs, current and future partnership opportunities and alignment with one or more of UMB’s philanthropic pillars: arts, agriculture, financial education and self-sufficiency.
