Texas First Bank to Open New Branch in Beaumont in January

December 30, 2021

Texas City-based Texas First Bank has announced plans to open a new full-service banking center in Beaumont in January 2022. The location—at 6363 Phelan Blvd., just east of Dowlen Rd.—will be the 27th banking center in the family-owned and operated Texas First Bank network. The Beaumont team will include Michelle Bowen, banking center manager (transferring from managing the bank’s Winnie location); John Morrell, regional loan president; and lenders Chris Kovatch and James Wright.

“In this time of merging financial institutions and banks changing names…Texas First Bank is a strong and stable place for customers to make their financial dreams come true,” Morrel says. “Our bank has a 50-year history of serving and investing in the local communities along the Texas Gulf Coast. We can’t wait for this banking center…to open in January so we can better serve Beaumont families and businesses from a location that’s convenient for them.”

Established in 1973, Texas First Bank operates 26 branches—soon to be 27—throughout Galveston, Harris, Brazoria, Chambers, Liberty, Montgomery and Jefferson counties
