Texas First Bank and Texas First Insurance Break Ground on Combined Facility in Conroe

August 31, 2023

On August 16, Texas City-based Texas First Bank and Texas First Insurance officially broke ground on a new facility in Conroe. It will be the first of its kind for Texas First, housing a full-service banking center, insurance staff and Small Business Administration (SBA) team all under one roof. The 5,300-square-foot facility is part of Texas First’s strategy to better serve the north Houston community. It will replace the bank’s current location in downtown Conroe and establish a permanent office for Texas First Insurance in Montgomery County. Texas First Bank has 27 locations throughout the Greater Houston area, including The Woodlands and Spring.

Located at 1965 S. Loop 336 W in Conroe, the new facility will feature a grand entry, open-concept lobby and office space for more than 10 employees. Offering full-service personal and commercial banking, the location will have an ATM, two drive-through lanes, a night depository and safe deposit boxes.

“Conroe is one of the fastest growing cities in Texas, and we are thrilled to be growing right along with it,” says Chris Doyle, president and CEO of Texas First Bank. “We celebrate 50 years in business this year, and this building marks an exciting new step for us in our story and mission of ‘Helping Texans Build Texas.’ We take pride in being a trusted place for our community to come to with their financial and insurance needs. Now, with everything under one roof, we are excited to make it easier for individuals and businesses alike.”

Established in 1973, Texas Independent Bancshares is the parent company of Texas First Bank and Texas First Insurance. Its subsidiaries operate in seven counties along the Texas Gulf Coast: Galveston, Harris, Brazoria, Chambers, Liberty, Montgomery and Jefferson.
