Texas Bankers Foundation Announces 2022 Cornerstone and LiFE Award Winners

June 8, 2022

The Texas Bankers Foundation, the charitable arm of the Texas Bankers Association, recently announced the 16 recipients of the 2022 Cornerstone Awards and Leader in Financial Education (LiFE) Awards. Each of the banks selected have demonstrated excellence in community involvement or have promoted financial education in their communities.

“These awards celebrate the banks and bankers who have made a commitment to be cornerstones in their communities and are dedicated leaders in promoting financial education,” says Chris Furlow, president and CEO of the Texas Bankers Association. “Those recognized this year have had a significant impact on their communities and we are honored to congratulate them on their efforts.”

This year’s nine Cornerstone Award recipients:

  • FirstCapital Bank of Texas NA
  • Legend Bank NA
  • North Dallas Bank & Trust Co.
  • PointBank
  • TBK Bank SSB
  • Texas Security Bank
  • TFNB Your Bank for Life
  • Veritex Community Bank
  • Woodforest National Bank

This year’s five LiFE Award bank recipients:

  • Citizens State Bank, Woodville
  • Comerica Bank
  • Mineola Community Bank SSB
  • Texas Capital Bank NA
  • Veritex Community Bank

 This year’s two LiFE Award recipients in the individual recognition category:

  • Courtney Taylor, Veritex Community Bank
  • Ralph Thompson, North Dallas Bank & Trust

The recipients were celebrated on May 19 at the Texas Bankers Association’s 137th Annual Convention in Round Rock during a special awards luncheon.
