On July 26, Arlington-based Susser Bank hosted a client appreciation event at McKinney’s family-owned Local Yocal BBQ & Grill. Janine Marshall, Susser Bank’s Frisco/McKinney market president, welcomed more than 30 guests and Susser team members to The Augustus, the venue’s event space in historic downtown McKinney. Guests enjoyed the venue’s elegantly rustic atmosphere, Chairman and CEO Sam L. Susser’s remarks about his family’s deep Texas roots and the bank’s commitment to helping clients succeed for generations to come.
The evening’s theme was “Steak 101” and included a tutorial presented by Matt Hamilton, owner of Local Yocal BBQ & Grill. His topics included ranching, agriculture, the various cuts of meat, USDA grading and common meat marketing terms, along with how best to prepare a steak the way a client would best enjoy it. Hamilton’s presentation was followed by succulent samples of 18 flavorful cuts, all charred to juicy perfection.
“Our clients are at the core of everything we do,” Marshall notes. “Their trust, loyalty and partnership are instrumental in shaping how we best serve their interests in our relationship-driven organization. They work hard, so we wanted to keep them well fed.”
Established in 1959, Susser Bank has branches in Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Arlington, Bedford, Fort Worth, Garland and Round Rock, as well as loan production offices in Austin and McKinney.
