Spirit Mortgage and First United Bank Welcome Brown as Mortgage Lending Officer

January 24, 2022

Darby BrownPlains Bancorp Inc., holding company for Dimmitt-based First United Bank and Spirit Mortgage, announced the addition of Darby Brown to its Lubbock team. He will serve as a mortgage lending officer for Spirit Mortgage and office at the Lubbock Southwest Banking Center located at the corner of 66th St. & Frankford Ave.

Brown, a native of Lubbock, comes to First United Bank with six months of experience in the financial and mortgage industry. He is a 2008 graduate of Texas A&M University with a BS degree in agriculture leadership and development. Brown serves as a board member for the Lubbock-Cooper Education Foundation, coach with the Lubbock Baseball Academy and partner with Every Nation Campus Ministries.

Established in 1907, First United Bank reports total assets of more than $1.8 billion and currently operates 17 banking center offices in 13 West Texas markets: Amarillo, Canyon, Childress, Dimmitt, Earth, Lamesa, Littlefield, Lubbock, Paducah, Seagraves, Seminole, Sudan and Wichita Falls.
