Snell Hired as Lender at Anahuac National Bank and Barbers Hill Bank

August 17, 2020

Austin SnellKen Moore, president and CEO of Anahuac National Bank recently announced the hiring of Austin Snell. After training at the Anahuac National Bank location, Snell will serve as a general lender at Barbers Hill Bank in Mont Belvieu. Anahuac National Bank is comprised of a family of community banks serving Southeast Texas, including Anahuac National Bank, East Chambers County Bank, Barbers Hill Bank and Hardin Bank.

Snell is a Mont Belvieu native who earned his bachelor’s degree in business management from Texas State University. Upon graduation, he kicked off his career in fundraising at USA Team Spirit. He has always enjoyed working with public school districts and communities helping civic organizations raise money, which piqued his interest in finance and lending. For the past seven years, he has worked with branding, lead development and a focus on product development. Late 2019, his career shifted and he became a mortgage loan officer.

“Austin brings a level of professionalism and integrity. Soon, he will bring a little home-grown customer service to the community of Mont Belvieu,” Moore says. “We are thankful for Austin and our other staff members for the dedication that has supported our continued growth and commitment to our local communities.”

Established in 1976, Anahuac National Bank is the only national bank in Chambers County and the only locally owned and independently operated bank in Chambers County. The bank operates five locations: Anahuac National Bank, East Chambers County Bank, Hardin Bank and two Barbers Hill Bank locations. Each bank operates as an independent bank in its community, staffed by local personnel.
