Regulatory Actions

Here are the latest regulatory agency transactions regarding Texas bank applications—including new charters, mergers and acquisitions, and the establishment and relocation of bank branches—as filed with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Texas Department of Banking (TDB), Federal Reserve Board of Dallas (FRBD) and the Federal Insurance Deposit Corp. (FDIC):

September 29–October 5, 2024

Mergers and Acquisitions

The TDB reports that Oakwood Bank, based in Dallas, has completed its merger into b1BANK, based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Branches

The OCC reports that First National Bank Texas, based in Killeen, has applied to establish a new branch at 1192 W. Dallas, Ste. A, in Conroe.

The OCC reports that it has approved applications by JPMorgan Chase Bank NA, based in Columbus, Ohio, to establish the following branches: the northwest corner of W. Illinois Ave. and Ludlow Dr. in Dallas and the southwest corner of W. Centerville Rd. and Broadmoor Dr. in Garland.

The OCC reports that U.S. Bank NA, based in Cincinnati, Ohio, has applied to establish a branch at 2101 Cedar Springs Rd., Ste. 1425, in Dallas.

The OCC reports that Bank of America NA, based in Charlotte, North Carolina, has relocated a branch from 2015 Coit Rd. in Plano to 2065 Preston Rd. in Plano.

The OCC reports that it has approved applications by Wells Fargo Bank NA, based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, to relocate the following branches: from 101 E. Nolte in Seguin to 360 S. State Hwy. 123 Bypass in Seguin; from 123 W. Main St. in Humble to 168 1st W in Humble; and from 999 E. Basse Rd., Ste. 300, in San Antonio to the intersection of E. Basse Rd. and Broadway in San Antonio. The agency also reports that Wells Fargo Bank has applied to relocate a branch from 501 W. Montgomery St. in Willis 813 W. Montgomery St. in Willis.

The TDB reports that First State Bank of Texas, based in Orange, has applied to establish a branch at 25700 I-45 N., Ste. 180, in Spring.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Frost Bank, based in San Antonio, to establish a branch at 19019 IH 35 in Kyle.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Southside Bank, based in Tyler, to establish a branch at 3701 FM 4 in Granbury.

The TDB reports that TexasBank, based in Brownwood, has applied to establish a branch at 2641 E. I-20 in Hudson Oaks.
