Regulatory Actions

Here are the latest regulatory agency transactions regarding Texas bank applications—including new charters, mergers and acquisitions, and the establishment and relocation of bank branches—as filed with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Texas Department of Banking (TDB), Federal Reserve Board of Dallas (FRBD) and the Federal Insurance Deposit Corp. (FDIC):

September 25–October 1, 2022

Mergers and Acquisitions

The OCC reports that American Bank NA, based in Corpus Christi, has completed its acquisition of TexStar National Bank, based in Universal City.

The TDB reports that Roscoe State Bank, based in Roscoe, has merged with and into Cornerstone Capital Bank SSB.

The TDB reports that Allegiance Bank, based in Houston, has completed its merger of equals with Community Bank of Texas NA, based in Beaumont.

Home Offices

The TDB reports that Allegiance Bank, based in Houston, has relocated its home office from 8727 W. Sam Houston Pkwy. N in Houston to an existing branch at 9 Greenway Plaza, Ste. 110 in Houston and is maintaining its former home office as a branch.

Branches

The TDB reports that American State Bank, based in Arp, has applied to establish a branch at 500 Dallas St., Ste. A, in Plainview.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Alliance Bank Central Texas, based in Waco, to establish a branch at 408 Hilliard Rd. in Temple.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Frost Bank, based in San Antonio, to establish a branch at 2831 Palmer Hwy. in Texas City. The agency also reports that Frost Bank has applied to establish a branch at 9651 Katy Frwy., Ste. 100, in Houston.

The TDB reports that Citizens State Bank, based in Anton, has applied to establish a branch at 4718 S. Loop 289, Ste. 200, in Lubbock.
