Regulatory Actions

Here are the latest regulatory agency transactions regarding Texas bank applications—including new charters, mergers and acquisitions, and the establishment and relocation of bank branches—as filed with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Texas Department of Banking (TDB), Federal Reserve Board of Dallas (FRBD) and the Federal Insurance Deposit Corp. (FDIC):

September 1–7, 2024

Conversions

The TDB reports that Sunflower Bank NA, based in Dallas, has applied to convert to a Texas state charter under the name Sunflower Bank.

Branches

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by American Bank NA, based in Corpus Christi, to establish a branch at 101 N. Shoreline in Corpus Christi.

The OCC reports that JPMorgan Chase Bank NA, based in Columbus, Ohio, has applied to establish the following branches: the northwest intersection of W. Illinois Ave. and Ludlow Dr. in Dallas and the southwest corner of W. Centerville Rd. and Broadmoor Dr. in Garland.

The OCC reports that Austin Bank NA, based in Jacksonville, has relocated a branch from 107 Old River Rd. in Montgomery to 18405 Hwy. 105 W in Montgomery.

The OCC reports that Moody National Bank, based in Galveston, has applied to relocate a branch from 400 W. 15th St. in Austin to 7900 Shoal Creek Blvd. in Austin.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Independent Bank, based in McKinney, to establish a branch at 1409 Botham Jean Blvd., Ste. 1510, in Dallas.

The TDB reports that Maverick Bank, based in Fort Davis, has established a branch at 811 9th St. in Levelland.

The TDB reports that First State Bank of Texas, based in Orange, has applied to establish a branch at 25700 I-45 N., Ste. 180, in Spring.
