Here are the latest regulatory agency transactions regarding Texas bank applications—including new charters, mergers and acquisitions, and the establishment and relocation of bank branches—as filed with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Texas Department of Banking (TDB), Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas (FRBD) and the Federal Insurance Deposit Corp. (FDIC).

April 24–30, 2022

Branches

The OCC reports that Fifth Third Bank National Association, based in Cincinnati, Ohio, has applied to establish a branch at 1001 Fannin St., Ste. 4725, in Houston.

The OCC reports that PNC Bank, National Association, based in Wilmington, Delaware, has applied to establish the following branches: 3903 Ichabod Circle in Arlington; and 907 Bank St. in Dallas.

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by Amarillo National Bank, based in Amarillo, to establish a branch at 1020 NE Loop 410 in San Antonio.

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by The Yoakum National Bank, based in Yoakum, to establish a branch at 3650 Billy Hext Rd. in Odessa.

The OCC reports that American First National Bank, based in Houston, has applied to relocate a branch from 1912 Avenue K, Ste. 100, in Plano to the corner of State Hwy. 5, Avenue K and 19th St. in Plano.

The TDB reports that Texas Brand Bank, based in Dallas, has established a branch at 247 W. Davis St. in Dallas.

The TDB reports that Frost Bank, based in San Antonio, has applied to establish the following branches: 1330 S. Loop 288 in Denton; and 7101 Warren Pkwy. in Frisco.

The TDB reports that Susser Bank, based in Dallas, has applied to establish a branch at 1990 Post Oak Blvd., Ste. 110, in Houston.

April 17–23, 2022

Mergers and Acquisitions

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by The First National Bank of Kemp, based in Kemp, to acquire The First State Bank, based in Rice.

Branches

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by Amerant Bank National Association, based in Coral Gables, Florida, to relocate a branch from 3200 S. Shepherd Dr. in Houston to 2555 W. Holcombe Blvd. in Houston.

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by Guaranty Bank & Trust National Association, based in Mt. Pleasant, to relocate a branch from 120 W. 8th St. in Georgetown to 624 S. Austin Ave. in Georgetown.

The TDB reports that it has approved applications by Frost Bank, based in San Antonio, to establish the following branches: 6545 Hwy. 6 N in Houston; and 4526 Dacoma, Ste. 100, in Houston. The agency also reports that Frost Bank has applied to establish a branch at 2231 Singleton Rd. in Dallas.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by First State Bank, based in Athens, to establish a branch at S. FM 548 and FM 1641 in Forney.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by First State Bank, based in Gainesville, to establish a branch at 201 St. Preston Rd., Ste. 200, in Celina.

The TDB reports that FirstBank Southwest, based in Amarillo, has applied to relocate a branch from 300 W. Kingsmill Ave. in Pampa to 321 W. Francis Ave. in Pampa.

April 10–16, 2022

Charters

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Texas Traditions Bank, based in Katy, for a state bank charter.

Branches

The OCC reports that Bank of America National Association, based in Charlotte, North Carolina, has established a branch at 11050 U.S. Hwy 380 in Cross Roads. The agency also reports that Bank of America has applied to establish a branch at 2211 F.M. 663 in Midlothian.

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by BankUnited National Association, based in Miami Lakes, Florida, to establish a branch at 5610 Lemmon Ave., Ste. A2, in Dallas.

The OCC reports that Amarillo National Bank, based in Amarillo, has applied to establish a branch at 2703 82nd St. in Lubbock.

The OCC reports that First National Bank Texas, based in Killeen, has relocated a branch from 5235 Aldine Mail Rd. in Houston to 12403 Eastex Fwy. in Houston.

April 3–9, 2022

Mergers and Acquisitions

The TDB reports that Texas Regional Bank, based in Harlingen, has applied to acquire AccessBank Texas, based in Denton.

Branches

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by JPMorgan Chase Bank National Association, based in Columbus, Ohio, to establish a branch at the southwest corner of FM 1488 and Spur 149 Rd. in Magnolia.

The OCC reports that Community National Bank, based in Midland, has established a branch at 17855 N. Dallas Pkwy., Ste. 195, in Dallas.

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by VeraBank National Association, based in Henderson, to establish a branch at 1695 N. US Hwy. 183 in Leander.

The OCC reports that Cendera Bank National Association, based in Bells, has applied to relocate a branch from 3740 Benbrook Hwy. in Fort Worth to 2912 W. 6th St. in Fort Worth.

The TDB reports that it has approved applications by Frost Bank, based in San Antonio, to establish the following branches: 1212 McDermott Dr., Ste. 400, in Allen; and 5225 N. Garland Ave. in Garland. The agency also reports that Frost Bank has applied to establish a branch at 6545 Hwy. 6 N in Houston.

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by Austin Bank NA, based in Jacksonville, to establish a branch at 107 Old River Rd. in Montgomery.

The TDB reports that Frost Bank, based in San Antonio, has applied to establish the following branches: 1212 McDermott Dr., Ste. 400, in Allen; 5225 N. Garland Ave. in Garland; and 4526 Dacoma, Ste. 100, in Houston.

The TDB reports that Veritex Community Bank, based in Dallas, has applied to acquire StoneCastle Insured Sweep LLC, based in New York, New York. StoneCastle Insured Sweep is the developer of interLINK, a technology-enabled deposit gathering and processing platform.

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by Community National Bank, based in Midland, to establish a branch at 17855 N. Dallas Pkwy., Ste. 195, in Dallas.

The OCC reports that Amarillo National Bank, based in Amarillo, has applied to establish a branch at 1020 N.E. Loop 410 in San Antonio.
