Here are the latest regulatory agency transactions regarding Texas bank applications—including new charters, mergers and acquisitions, and the establishment and relocation of bank branches—as filed with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Texas Department of Banking (TDB), Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas (FRBD) and the Federal Insurance Deposit Corp. (FDIC).

December 15–21, 2024

Branches

The OCC reports that JPMorgan Chase Bank NA, based in Columbus, Ohio, has established the following branches: 9324 Summer Creek Dr. in Fort Worth and 1055 Market Way Rd. in Argyle. The agency also reports that it has received applications by JPMorgan Chase Bank to establish the following branches: at the southeast corner of Woodland Hills Dr. and Madera Run Pkwy. in Humble and at the southeast corner of W. Bandera Rd. and Interstate 10 in Boerne.

The OCC reports that U.S. Bank NA, based in Cincinnati, Ohio, has established a branch at 9753 Katy Fwy., Ste. 100, in Houston.

The OCC reports that it has approved applications by PNC Bank NA, based in Wilmington, Delaware, to relocate the following branches: from 1824 Abrams Rd. in Dallas to 6322 Gaston Ave. in Dallas and from 7047 Harrisburg Blvd., Bldg. A, in Houston to 7003 Harrisburg Blvd., Ste. C, in Houston.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by The Cowboy Bank of Texas, based in Maypearl, to establish a branch at 1400 S. Rodgers St. in Waxahachie.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Coleman County State Bank, based in Coleman, to establish a branch at 3517 FM Hwy. 2288 in San Angelo.

The TDB reports that Texas Bank, based in Henderson, has applied to establish a branch at 7680 Preston Rd. in Frisco.

The TDB reports that American Bank of Commerce, based in Wolfforth, has applied to establish a branch at 8580 Belleview Dr., Ste. 120, in Plano.

The TDB reports that Frost Bank, based in San Antonio, has applied to establish a branch at 18725 FM 685 in Pflugerville.

Mergers and Acquisitions

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by SouthState Bank NA, based in Winter Haven, Florida, to acquire Independent Bank, dba Independent Financial, based in McKinney.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Powell State Bank, based in Powell, to be acquired by Producer Acquisition Corp.

The TDB reports that Chasewood Bank based in Houston, has applied to merge with Austin Bancorp Inc., based in Jacksonville.

Branches

The TDB reports that Frost Bank, based in San Antonio, has established a branch at 8651 El Dorado Pkwy. in McKinney.

Loan Production Offices

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by First National Bank Texas, based in Killeen, to establish a loan production office at 641 N. Stanton Dr. in El Paso.

Branches

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by Woodforest National Bank, based in The Woodlands, to establish a branch in the HEB at 19529 Northpark Dr. in Kingwood.

The TDB reports that The Cowboy Bank of Texas, based in Maypearl, has applied to establish a branch at 1400 S. Rodgers St. in Waxahachie.

The TDB reports that Maverick Bank, based in Fort Davis, has applied to establish a branch at 6132 Eastridge Rd. in Odessa.

The TDB reports that Independent Bank, based in McKinney, has applied to merge into SouthState Bank NA, based in Winter Haven, Florida.

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by The First National Bank of Eagle Lake, based in Eagle Lake, to relocate its home office from 100 Commerce St. in Eagle Lake to 1217 E. Main St. in Eagle Lake.

Branches

The OCC reports that it has approved applications by First National Bank Texas, based in Killeen, to establish the following branches: 10505 Broadway St. in Pearland and 3000 S. Jackson Rd. in Pharr.

The OCC reports that UMB Bank NA, based in Kansas City, Missouri, has applied to establish a branch at 5950 Berkshire Lane, Ste. 1600, in Dallas.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Texas Regional Bank, based in Harlingen, to establish a branch at 21 Herff Rd. in Boerne.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Frost Bank, based in San Antonio, to establish a branch at 213 N. Hwy. 67 in Cedar Hill.

The TDB reports that Sunflower Bank, based in Dallas, has withdrawn its application to merge with HomeStreet Bank NA, based in Seattle, Washington, and has also withdrawn its application to convert to a national association.

The OCC reports that VeraBank NA, based in Henderson, has applied to establish a branch at 2690 Becker Dr. in Brenham.

The OCC reports that First National Bank Texas, based in Killeen, has applied to establish a branch at 7700 Samuell Blvd. in Dallas.

The OCC reports that The State National Bank of Groom, based in Groom, has applied to establish a branch at 312 Euclid Ave. in Panhandle.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by One World Bank, based in Dallas, to establish a branch at 1520 W. Sam Houston Pkwy. S in Houston.

The TDB reports BOM Bank, based in Natchitoches, Louisiana, has acquired the following branches of American State Bank, based in Arp: 13218 U.S. Hw.y 84 E in Joaquin; 830 N. 1st St. in Timpson; 163 Casscaid St. in Center, TX; 3001 S. John Redditt Dr. in Lufkin; 1601 S. Chestnut St. in Lufkin; 304 Hwy. 69 S in Huntington; 113 Cade St. in Chester; 1700 N. Loop 336 W in Conroe, TX; and 1610 S. First St. in Lufkin.

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by American Bank NA to relocate its main office from 100 American Bank Plaza in Corpus Christi to 800 N. Shoreline Blvd. in Corpus Christi.
