Regulatory Actions

Here are the latest regulatory agency transactions regarding Texas bank applications—including new charters, mergers and acquisitions, and the establishment and relocation of bank branches—as filed with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Texas Department of Banking (TDB), Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas (FRBD) and the Federal Insurance Deposit Corp. (FDIC).

April 7–13, 2024

Conversions

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by First Financial Bank and its holding company, First Financial Trust & Asset Management Co., both based in Abilene, to convert from a national banking association to a state-chartered bank.

Branches

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by National Bank & Trust, based in La Grange, to establish a branch at 4401 S. Staples St. in Corpus Christi.

The OCC reports that Bank of America NA, based in Charlotte, North Carolina, has applied to establish a branch at 401 N. Hwy. 77, Ste. 20, in Waxahachie.

The OCC reports that Woodforest National Bank, based in The Woodlands, has applied to relocate a branch from 602 Lawrence St. in Tomball to 14235 FM 2920 in Tomball.

The TDB reports that Veritex Community Bank, based in Dallas, has established a branch at 1007 Hutchins Rd. in Dallas.

The TDB reports that Capital Bank, based in Houston, has established a branch at 1010 Bay Area Blvd. in Houston.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Independent Bank, based in McKinney, to establish a branch at 7220 Cotesworth Ave. in Sugar Land.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Third Coast Bank, based in Humble, to establish a branch at 3650 N. Major Dr. in Beaumont.

The TDB reports that Grandview Bank, based in Grandview, has applied to establish a branch at 209 S. Main St. in Salado.

Mergers and Acquisitions

The TDB reports that Lone Star State Bank of West Texas, based in Lubbock, has merged into Prosperity Bank, based in El Campo.

Branches

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by Great Plains National Bank, based in Elk City, Oklahoma, to establish a branch at 2620 N. Travis in Sherman.

The OCC reports that Woodforest National Bank, based in The Woodlands, has applied to establish a branch in the HEB at 3601 FM 1488 in The Woodlands.

The OCC reports that JPMorgan Chase Bank NA, based in Columbus, Ohio, has applied to establish a branch at the northeast corner of E. Bonds Ranch Rd. and Hwy. 287 in Fort Worth.

The TDB reports that Texas Regional Bank, based in Harlingen, has applied to establish a branch at 601 Main St. in Kerrville.

The TDB reports that Third Coast Bank, based in Humble, has applied to establish a branch at 3650 N. Major Dr. in Beaumont.

The TDB reports that Wallis Bank, based in Wallis, has applied to establish a branch at 4805 E. Sam Houston Pkwy., Ste. 100, in Pasadena.

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by Bank of America NA, based in Charlotte, North Carolina, to relocate a branch from 2015 Coit Rd. in Plano to 2065 Preston Rd. in Plano.

The TDB reports that Frost Bank, based in San Antonio, has established a branch at 3820 Belt Line Rd. in Addison.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by American Bank of Commerce, based in Wolfforth, to establish a branch at 11000 Slide Rd. in Lubbock.

The TDB reports that Frontier Bank of Texas, based in Elgin, has applied to establish the following branches: 2651 E. University Dr. in Georgetown and 207 NW Loop 230 in Smithville.

The TDB reports that Fort Davis State Bank, based in Fort Davis, to change its name to Maverick Bank.

The TDB reports that Independent Bank, based in McKinney, has applied to establish a branch at 7220 Cotesworth Ave. in Sugar Land.

The TDB reports that Texas Regional Bank, based in Harlingen, has applied to establish a branch at 601 Main St. in Kerrville.

The TDB reports that Third Coast Bank, based in Humble, has applied to establish a branch at 3650 N. Major Dr., Beaumont, TX.

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by Llano National Bank, based in Llano, to establish a branch at 901 Corazon Dr. in Marble Falls.

The OCC reports that JPMorgan Chase Bank NA, based in Columbus, Ohio, has applied to establish a branch at the northeast corner of Gattis School Rd. and Muirfield Bend Dr. in Hutto.

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by PNC Bank NA, based in Wilmington, Delaware, to relocate a branch from 700 San Bernardo Ave. in Laredo to 802 Hidalgo St. in Laredo.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Prosperity Bank, based in El Campo, to acquire Lone Star State Bank of West Texas, based in Lubbock.

The TDB reports that Third Coast Bank, based in Humble, has converted from a state savings bank (as Third Coast Bank SSB) to a Texas banking association.

Branches

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by First National Bank and Trust Co. of Weatherford, based in Weatherford, to establish a branch at 100 Willow Bend Dr. in Willow Park.

The TDB reports that Normangee State Bank, based in Normangee, has established a branch at 401 N. May St. in Madisonville.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by NBT Financial Bank, based in Fort Worth, to establish a branch at 200 Shops Blvd. in Willow Park.

The OCC reports that Woodforest National Bank, based in The Woodlands, has established a branch in the HEB at 16000 Woodland Hills Dr. in Humble.

The OCC reports that it has approved applications by JPMorgan Chase Bank NA, based in Columbus, Ohio, to establish the following branches: at the southwest corner of State Hwy. 46 W and Bulverde Crossing in Spring Branch and at the northwest corner of of FM 407 and I 35 W in Argyle.

The OCC reports that First American Trust FSB, based in Santa Ana, California, has relocated a branch from 25700 I-45 N, Ste. 410, in Spring to 1221 S. Mopac Expwy., Ste. 150, in Austin.

The TDB reports that The First State Bank, based in Louise, has established a branch at 200 Century Square Blvd. in Sugar Land.
