Peoples Bank in Lubbock Donates to 15 Local Nonprofits on Giving Tuesday

January 1, 2025

On December 3, Lubbock-based Peoples Bank participated in the national Giving Tuesday annual event by presenting donations to several local nonprofit organizations.  The community service project was announced by Larry Allen, chair and CEO.

The charities that received Peoples Bank donations included:

  • Bounce Back Global
  • CASA of Hill County
  • Future of Nazareth
  • High Point Village
  • Lorenzo Chamber of Commerce
  • Lubbock Children’s Health Clinic
  • OneVoiceHome
  • Parenting Cottage
  • Post Cares
  • Princeton Lion Club’s Angel Tree
  • Seymour’s Beautification Project
  • Shallowater ISD’s Back Pack Buddies
  • Slaton Meals on Wheels
  • Texas Girls and Boys Ranch and
  • The Inside Out Foundation

Giving Tuesday takes place each year on the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving and it is made up of initiatives to help communities and the families that embody them. The 2024 event fell on December 3. Based in New York, Giving Tuesday originated in 2012 in an attempt to encourage people to do good things. Since then, the global program says it has tracked initiatives in every country and territory worldwide, with more than 100 countries hosting official Giving Tuesday events, according to a Giving Tuesday spokesperson.

Established in 1968, Peoples Bank has 12 locations in the Texas Panhandle, North Texas, Central Texas and the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex.
