December 13, 2023

On November 28, Lubbock-based Peoples Bank participated in Giving Tuesday by presenting donations to several local nonprofit organizations. Larry Allen, chairman and CEO, announced the bank’s participation in the national event. Giving Tuesday was established in 2012 to create a movement that harnessed the power of social media and technology to promote charitable giving. Held every Tuesday after Thanksgiving, it encourages giving during a period when many are accumulating during the Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping events held the same week.

Peoples Bank gave donations in honor of bank customers. The charities that received the donations included:

  • Bounce Back Global;
  • Future of Nazareth;
  • High Point Village;
  • Isaiah’s Place;
  • Lorenzo Senior Citizens;
  • Lubbock Children’s Health Clinic;
  • OneVoiceHome;
  • Parenting Cottage;
  • Post-Garza County Endowment;
  • Princeton ISD’s Angel Tree;
  • Seymour Lion’s Club;
  • Shallowater ISD’s Back Pack Buddies;
  • Slaton Meals on Wheels;
  • Texas Girls and Boys Ranch; and
  • The Inside Out Foundation.
