Operation HOPE’s Financial Coaching Offered at BancorpSouth Bank’s Dallas Branch

July 27, 2022

BancorpSouth Bank, a division of Tupelo, Mississippi-based Cadence Bank, and Operation HOPE have partnered to provide a free financial education and counseling program through a new HOPE Inside office in Dallas. The HOPE Inside office is part of the bank’s nearly $1.5 million investment to Operation HOPE for financial literacy programs over the next two years.

“Our company is committed to enhancing financial literacy across our footprint and providing resources that help our communities thrive and our customers build financial success,” says Dan Rollins, Cadence Bank chairman and CEO.

The HOPE Inside office, located within BancorpSouth’s location at 2412 W Kiest Blvd. in Dallas, offers financial counseling and information about credit and money management and homeownership to underserved residents. Oscar Torres Diaz, a certified financial counselor from Operation HOPE, is available to meet with individuals from 9 am. to 3 p.m. on Mondays through Fridays. All services are offered to the public free of charge.

“We applaud BancorpSouth Bank for its ongoing partnership with Operation HOPE to expand our best-in-class HOPE Inside work in markets across the country,” says John Hope Bryant, chairman and CEO of Operation HOPE Inc. “By supporting this transformational work, BancorpSouth is helping support underserved communities and providing access to the tools aspirational individuals need to improve their financial wellness.”

HOPE Inside serves adults, youth, disaster survivors and its partners’ employees with financial dignity programming and coaching to equip them with the financial knowledge and tools to create a secure future. Operation HOPE will use the FDIC’s Money Smart curriculum at the HOPE Inside office as part of its financial education program.

BancorpSouth and Operation HOPE have been partners since 2017 with the launch of their HOPE Inside location in Memphis, Tennessee. Their new HOPE Inside in Dallas is one of six new locations opening across BancorpSouth’s footprint this year.
