Regulatory Actions

Here are the latest regulatory agency transactions regarding Texas bank applications—including new charters, mergers and acquisitions, and the establishment and relocation of bank branches—as filed with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Texas Department of Banking (TDB), Federal Reserve Board of Dallas (FRBD) and the Federal Insurance Deposit Corp. (FDIC):

October 5–11, 2025

Name Changes

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Ennis State Bank, based in Ennis, to change its name to Trinity Capital Bank of Texas.

Branches

The OCC reports that JPMorgan Chase Bank NA, based in Columbus, Ohio, has established a branch at 229 E. Bonds Ranch Rd. in Fort Worth. The agency also reports that it has approved an application by JPMorgan Chase Bank to establish a branch at the northeast corner of Creekside Crossing and Sophie Lane in New Braunfels. The bank has also applied with the OCC to establish a branch at the southwest corner of N. Loop 1604 W and Babcock Rd. in San Antonio.

The OCC reports that American First National Bank, based in Houston, has relocated a branch from 240 Legacy Dr., Ste. 112, in Plano to 1908 K Ave. in Plano.

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by Zions Bancorporation NA, based in Salt Lake City, Utah, to relocate a branch from 3400 Ave. H in Rosenberg to 25670 Southwest Fwy. in Rosenberg.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Frost Bank, based in San Antonio, to establish a branch at 3150 Broadway Blvd. in Garland.

The TDB reports that Maverick Bank, based in Fort Davis, has applied to relocate a branch from 4529 114th St. in Lubbock to 12705 Quaker Ave. in Lubbock.
