Regulatory Actions

Here are the latest regulatory agency transactions regarding Texas bank applications—including new charters, mergers and acquisitions, and the establishment and relocation of bank branches—as filed with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Texas Department of Banking (TDB), Federal Reserve Board of Dallas (FRBD) and the Federal Insurance Deposit Corp. (FDIC):

October 16–22, 2022

Mergers and Acquisitions

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by Great Plains National Bank, based in Elk City, Oklahoma, to acquire Providence Bank of Texas SSB, based in Southlake.

The TDB reports that Pinnacle Bank, based in Fort Worth, has applied to acquire Crockett National Bank, based in San Antonio.

Branches

The OCC reports that it has approved applications by First National Bank Texas, based in Killeen, to establish the following branches: 6801 S. Broadway Ave. in Tyler; the southeast corner of U.S. Hwy. 75 and Loy Lake Rd. (Sherman Commons) in Sherman; 2425 S. Zero St. in Fort Smith, Arkansas; and 3150 Harrison St. in Batesville, Arkansas.

The OCC reports that Wells Fargo Bank NA, based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, has relocated a branch from 1001 Hwy. 146 S in La Porte to 1307 W. Fairmont Pkwy. in La Porte.

The TDB reports that Jefferson Bank, based in San Antonio, has applied to establish a branch at 114 W. 7th St., Ste. 100, in Austin.

The TDB reports that Frost Bank, based in San Antonio, has applied to establish a branch at 1125 FM 544 in Wylie.

The TDB reports that First Bank, based in Burkburnett, has applied to establish a branch at 6836 Austin Center Blvd. in Austin.

The TDB reports that Texas Regional Bank, based in Harlingen, has applied to establish a branch at 10635 Louetta Rd. in Houston.
