Regulatory Actions

Here are the latest regulatory agency transactions regarding Texas bank applications—including new charters, mergers and acquisitions, and the establishment and relocation of bank branches—as filed with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Texas Department of Banking (TDB), Federal Reserve Board of Dallas (FRBD) and the Federal Insurance Deposit Corp. (FDIC):

November 20–26, 2022

Mergers and Acquisitions

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by The Chasewood Bank, based in Houston, to acquire MergerCo Inc., based in Houston.

The TDB reports that Prosperity Bank, based in El Campo, has applied to acquire Lone Star State Bank of West Texas, based in Lubbock, and FirstCapital Bank of Texas NA, based in Midland.

The TDB reports that Texas Brand Bank, based in Dallas, has applied to acquire Harmony Bank NA, based in Kemp.

Conversions

The TDB reports that Worthington National Bank, based in Arlington, has converted from a national association to a state-chartered bank under the name Worthington Bank.

Branches

The OCC reports that Bank of America NA, based in Charlotte, North Carolina, has established a branch at 1895 University Dr. in Frisco.

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by American Bank NA, based in Dallas, to establish a branch at 3382 Preston Rd. in Frisco.

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by Classic Bank NA, based in Cameron, to establish a branch at 204 W. U.S. Hwy. 79 in Thorndale.

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by First Texas National Bank, based in Floydada, to establish a branch at the southeast corner of U.S. Hwy. 75 in Sherman.

The OCC reports that The First National Bank of Quitaque, based in Quitaque, has applied to establish a branch at 501 Main St. in Silverton.

The TDB reports that Frost Bank, based in San Antonio, has applied to establish the following branches 1506 S. Friendswood Dr. in Friendswood; 498 E. Stacy Rd. in Allen; 14902 Preston Rd. in Dallas; and 5851 Long Prairie Rd. in Flower Mound.
