North Dallas Bank and Trust Hires Harkins as Chief Information Officer

Shane HarkinsNorth Dallas Bank and Trust Co. (NDBT) has hired Shane Harkins to serve as chief information officer. He joins after serving the past 13 years as vice president/director of enterprise cloud infrastructure at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas. In his new role, Harkins is responsible for all aspects of the organization’s information technology and systems, including information and cybersecurity. In addition, he will lead the planning and implementation of enterprise IT systems in support of bank operations to increase efficiency, improve customer service, and contribute to bank and performance objectives.

“Shane brings the technical expertise, background and culture needed to help with the sustainability and growth we have planned for NDBT,” says Brandi Shiflett, chief operating officer.

“Choosing NDBT for the next chapter in my personal and professional journey is a direct result of the reputation NDBT has in the industry, the people within the organization, the energy that exists in the executive management team and the vision of being the pre-eminent banking company in Texas,” Harkins says.

Harkins brings more than 25 years of broad technology expertise in personal wealth management, insurance and financial services to NDBT. He previously held vice president and director-level positions in information technology and technology solutions with Marsh Private Client Life Insurance Services in California and Ash Brokerage Corp., a leading national insurance brokerage and wealth management provider in Indiana. He earned a BS degree in information technology/security from Western Governors University in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Established in 1961, North Dallas Bank and Trust Co. operates five banking centers in Dallas, Addison, Frisco, Las Colinas and Plano.
