Regulatory Actions

Here are the latest regulatory agency transactions regarding Texas bank applications—including new charters, mergers and acquisitions, and the establishment and relocation of bank branches—as filed with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Texas Department of Banking (TDB), Federal Reserve Board of Dallas (FRBD) and the Federal Insurance Deposit Corp. (FDIC):

May 21–27, 2023

Charters

The OCC reports that FundBank NA has applied to establish a bank charter based in Austin.

Branches

The OCC reports that Amarillo National Bank, based in Amarillo, has applied to establish a branch at 12103 Quaker Ave. in Lubbock.

The OCC reports that First Financial Bank NA, based in Abilene, has applied to establish a branch at 100 W. Dechard St.,  Ste. C, in Franklin.

The OCC reports that First National Bank of Central Texas, based in Waco, has applied to establish a branch at 1645 Greens Prairie Rd., W. Ste. 504A, in College Station.

The OCC reports that The Commercial National Bank of Brady, based in Brady, has established a branch at 110 Avenue H, Ste. 114, in Marble Falls.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by Vista Bank, based in Dallas, to establish a branch at 3835 PGA Blvd., Ste. 305, in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

The TDB reports that WestStar Bank, based in El Paso, has applied to establish a branch at 12300 Eastlake Blvd. in El Paso.

The TDB reports that Frost Bank, based in San Antonio, has applied to establish the following branches: 2810 S. State Hwy. 161 in Grand Prairie; and 108 Southmore Ave. in Pasadena.

The TDB reports that Texas Security Bank, based in Dallas, has applied to establish a branch at 5151 Belt Line Rd. in Dallas.
