Regulatory Actions

Here are the latest regulatory agency transactions regarding Texas bank applications—including new charters, mergers and acquisitions, and the establishment and relocation of bank branches—as filed with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Texas Department of Banking (TDB), Federal Reserve Board of Dallas (FRBD) and the Federal Insurance Deposit Corp. (FDIC):

May 2–8, 2021

Home Office

The TDB reports that WestStar Bank, based in El Paso, has applied to relocate its home office from 500 N. Mesa in El Paso to 601 N. Mesa in El Paso.

Branches

The OCC reports that Texas Republic Bank National Association, based in Frisco, has established a branch at 1212 S. Preston Rd., Ste. 100, in Celina.

The OCC reports that West Texas National Bank, based in Midland, has relocated a branch from 6005 Eastridge Rd., Ste. 120, in Odessa to 6010 E. Hwy. 191, Ste. 125, in Odessa.

The OCC reports that Newfirst National Bank, based in El Campo, has relocated a branch from 50 Sugar Creek Center Blvd., Ste. 100, in Sugar Land, to 16554 Creekbend Dr., Ste. 150, in Sugar Land.

The TDB reports that it has approved an application by WestStar Bank, based in El Paso, to establish a branch at 12160 Pebble Hills in El Paso.

The TDB reports that Plains State Bank, based in Humble, has applied to establish a branch at 5452 Hwy. 105, Ste. 100, in Conroe.

The TDB reports that Falcon International Bank, based in Laredo, has applied to establish a branch at 134 S. U.S. Hwy. 83 in Zapata.
