Regulatory Actions

Here are the latest regulatory agency transactions regarding Texas bank applications—including new charters, mergers and acquisitions, and the establishment and relocation of bank branches—as filed with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Texas Department of Banking (TDB), Federal Reserve Board of Dallas (FRBD) and the Federal Insurance Deposit Corp. (FDIC):

May 10–16, 2026

Mergers and Acquisitions

The TDB reports that The First State Bank, based in Columbus, has applied to merge with The First National Bank of Bastrop, based in Bastrop.

Conversions

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by United Texas Bank NA, based in Dallas, to convert from a state bank to a national bank.

Branches

The OCC reports that it has approved an application by First National Bank Texas, based in Killeen, to establish a branch at 19337 McDonald St. in Lytle. The agency also reports that First National Bank Texas has applied to establish a branch at 250 University Blvd. in Round Rock.

The OCC reports that Woodforest National Bank, based in The Woodlands, has applied to establish a branch at 4085 Wedgewood Lane in The Villages, Florida.

The OCC reports that it has approved applications by PNC Bank NA, based in Wilmington, Delaware, to establish the following branches: 2606 Gus Thomasson Rd. in Dallas; 5408 Dallas Pkwy., Ste. 100, in Frisco; and 409 N. Hwy. 78 in Wylie.

The OCC reports that JPMorgan Chase Bank NA, based in Columbus, Ohio, has established a branch at 28705 Ronald W. Reagan Blvd. in Georgetown.

The TDB reports that Spectra Bank, based in Fort Worth, has established a branch at 11950 Webb Chapel Rd. in Dallas.

The TDB reports that PlainsCapital Bank, based in University Park, has applied to establish a branch at 500 Preston Rd. in Prosper.
